Design and development of an intelligent multi-sensory box breathing device integrating adaptive biofeedback for enhancedstress regulation and mental well-being
Abstract
Stress-related disorders are increasingly prevalent in modern society, necessitating advanced, technologydriven solutions that facilitate physiological regulation and psychological resilience. This article presents the comprehensive design and development of an intelligent multi-sensory box breathing device that integrates adaptive biofeedback to enhance stress regulation and mental well-being. The system combines guided breathing cycles, real-time physiological monitoring, and artificial intelligence-based personalization to dynamically optimize breathing patterns according to user responses. The incorporation of visual, auditory, and haptic feedback ensures high engagement and usability across diverse populations. Heart rate variability biofeedback plays a central role in improving autonomic balance, emotional regulation, and cognitive functioning. The article systematically presents figures and tables embedded within relevant sections with smoothly integrated captions, ensuring clarity and continuity. The proposed device demonstrates significant potential for application in clinical, occupational, and personal wellness domains, contributing to the advancement of personalized digital therapeutics and smart healthcare systems
