Abstract

Through the introduction of cutting-edge tools and techniques catered to a variety of learning demands, rapid technology breakthroughs have profoundly changed education. Emerging technologies like augmented reality and virtual reality have the potential to completely transform education. The combination of both, which combines the real world with a virtual environment called the "METAVERSE," is one of the most promising technologies in education. By creating immersive, interactive, and reward-driven environments, gamification and the metaverse are transforming digital engagement. The social, psychological, ethical, and economic effects of gamification in the metaverse are the main topics of this study's evaluation. Through game-like features, gamification increases user motivation, engagement, and learning; but, in persistent, immersive virtual environments, its inclusion into the metaverse multiplies these impacts.
