The journal/publisher is granted first publication rights, while the writers maintain copyrights for their articles. After an article is published, authors are free to reprint, preserve, and disseminate it as an abstract, a published lecture, or an academic thesis. Subsequent uses of the work are not the publisher's or journal's responsibility.
